Certified Long Term Care (CLTC®)
The CLTC designation is issued by the CLTC Board of Standards, Inc. and educates professionals in the fields of insurance, financial services, law and accounting about the need for care over an extended period of years as well as the emotional, physical and financial wellbeing of the client and their extended families. These professionals acquire the proper skill set to discuss the consequences, offer a plan to mitigate them, and when appropriate, recommend long-term care insurance as a funding source for that plan.
Education Candidates must successfully pass a 100-question multiple choice, online exam.
Continuing Education All designated members must complete the CLTC Board of Standards ethics course every two years.
